Habesha Eritrean and Ethiopian Cuisine

Christchurch's only dedicated Eritrean and Ethiopian restaurant, now settled on Stanmore Road after a couple of moves — berbere-braised zigni, lamb tibsi, kitfo and a fifteen-spice shiro, all served on gluten-free injera and eaten by hand. Traditional bunna coffee and t'ej honey wine carry the drinks side, and the vegetarian cooking runs deep enough that the local vegan society holds dinners here. Order a platter between a few of you and share.
